Travel platform XcelTrip to start accepting payments in Binance Coin [BNB]

 

Popular travel booking site XcelTrip has announced that it will now accept BNB – the native token of top cryptocurrency exchange Binance – XcelTrip CEO Hob Khadka tweeted. There are 50,000 hotels on the travel platform who are now accepting payments in BNB tokens. Read more

OKCoin expands to Latin America: begins fiat-crypto trading in Argentina

 

Crypto exchange OKCoin is expanding its services to Latin America, according to a statement received by BCFocus. The San Francisco-based exchange announced on Thursday that it will launch its trading platform in Argentina and plans to open its first office in the country’s capital, Buenos Aires. The company will roll out fiat-to-crypto trading services between Argentine peso and other major cryptocurrencies on its Latin American platform. Read more

Crypto exchange Binance adds support for Circle’s USDC

 

Top cryptocurrency exchange Binance on Thursday announced that it will list USDC on its platform. USDC is a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar that facilitates instant money transfer. The stablecoin, which was introduced by Goldman Sachs-backed Circle, was launched in September. “For increased transparency, USDC has engaged a top-ranking auditing firm to release monthly balance attestations of the corresponding USDC and USD balances held/issued,” Binance said in the blog post. Bitcoin Cash hard fork forces split into two separate blockchains

 

The Bitcoin Cash hard fork which was scheduled to take place on 15th of November to increase the volume of transactions had itself forked into two separate blockchains, according to a report by CoinDesk. The two separate blockchains are Bitcoin Cash SV which stands for Satoshi’s vision and Bitcoin SV (BCHSV). The Bitcoin Cash activated a hardfork that activated the fourth largest cryptocurrencies network into two versions, currently referred to by Bitcoin ABC (BCHABC) and Bitcoin SV (BCHSV). Read more

Binance advises Iranian users to withdraw crypto assets

 

Binance, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange has warned its remaining Iranian users to withdraw all their money as the exchange is looking to abide by international transactions, according to a Coin Desk report. “If you have an account with Binance and fall into that [sanctions] category, please withdraw your assets from Binance as soon as possible,” read an email that was sent to Iranian users from Binance, according to local sources. Spam attack makes transactions fill block space in Bitcoin ABC chain

 

During lunchtime in Chicago on November 15, there was a spam attack that took place in the blocks on the Bitcoin ABC. Its chain started filling up with a lump of tiny transactions. Binance opens trading for Bitcoin Cash ABC [BCHABC], Bitcoin Cash SV [BCHSV]

 

Binance, among the top crypto exchanges in the world, announced on Friday that it had completed distributing Bitcoin Cash ABC [BCHABC] and Bitcoin Cash SV [BCHSV] to all eligible customers. The exchange has opened trading for the new pairs – BCHABC/BTCBCHABC/USDTBCHSV/BTC and BCHSV/USDT – at 0800 UTC on Friday. According to a statement on its official website, the exchange distributed to its customers 1 BCHABC for 1 BCH and 1 BCHSV for 1 BCH, depending on the snapshots that the platform took of all Bitcoin Cash balances. The snapshots were taken at 1640 UTC on Thursday, as planned. Read more
