Craig Wright, a strong believer of the Bitcoin Satoshi’s Vision implementation of the Bitcoin Cash [BCH] blockchain, recently appeared on a video hosted by Tone Vays, a Bitcoin maximalist to speak about the upcoming hard fork, which is scheduled on November 15, 2018.
The Bitcoin Cash proponent started off by speaking about his relationship with Jihan Wu, the co-founder of Bitmain, the largest ASIC chip producer in the world. Wright remarked that he has never been in good terms with Jihan Wu, stating:
“I was never good friends of Jihan […] Jihan was never really aligned with ABC”
He went on to say that he had planned a “path to try and scale BTC”, claiming that he did not want the split to happen a year ago. He added:
“Unfortunately we actually communicated all this to Jihan, thinking that he was supportive and wanted to scale and we found that Jihan, at that time, undermined all of this. Jihan actually wanted the split. He didn’t want a fork, he wanted the split. So, part of what happened a year ago with the BTC – BCH split was, Jihan actually needs a form of Segwit and malleability fix that allows for ASIC boost”
Craig stated that this would allow Jihan to have a Proof-of-Stake coin, running plasma and effectively bringing Ethereum Version 2. He added that this was the reason Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Poon are involved. Wright went on to say that he understood that Jihan was not aligned with nChain and the team when he undermined their efforts to scale Bitcoin [BTC].
He further spoke about the original Bitcoin protocol and the Bitcoin Cash Satoshi Vision [SV]. He also spoke about the other developers involved in the Bitcoin Cash community, who are suggesting implementations to make the network better. He said:
“There is the original Bitcoin protocol and anyone can develop on that. If you stay along that the original protocol was and that’s what we’re actually implementing with SV and you have hash power to support, it not a problem. Quite frankly, I don’t give a rat’s rectum about any other developer group as long as they follow the protocol. If they don’t follow the protocol, F**k you!”
